Philly soul chanteuse Shirley Scott was from the Gypsy Lane crew of vocalists from legendary French producer Jacques Morali's camp. Featured here is the original 12" single version of Shirley's funky take on the classic Motown groove "Build Me Up Buttercup," recorded in 1983. Also included are the original 12" bonus instrumental and acappella versions. All selections newly re-mastered.
