Of course, bass really isn't what draws people to this Sub Pop refugee; prettily cooed lines like "Screw California and the friends that are never there" over gorgeous strumming tends to do the trick. That and their WTF presence on the Spider-Man 3 soundtrack. Oh yeah, they also do a nice meat-and-potatoes cover of "All You Need Is Love."
