The Wake formed in Glasgow in April 1981, after singer/guitarist Caesar left future chart stars Altered Images. The enduring appeal of their Factory-era catalog in particular supports the release of this in-concert DVD, Live at the Hacienda, which features two complete sets at the legendary Manchester venue from July 1983 (supporting Howard Devoto) and a headline slot from January 1984. As an extra bonus, the promotional clip for their breezy single 'Talk About the Past' is also included. 70 minutes/Region 0/NTSC. LTM. 2004.
