Gary Numan - "Berserker (Expanded Edition)" In 1984, Gary Numan set up his own label, Numa Records, after parting ways with his previous label, Beggars Banquet. The move signified the beginning of a new period in his career, where he was free to experiment and take his sound in a new direction. The first album to be released via Numa was Berserker, which represented a shift toward a harder-edged digital aesthetic, while still honoring the analog textures of his earlier work. The album finds Numan weaving together fictional and personal narratives into a rich tapestry of sound which, even after 40 years, continues to resonate with fans, celebrated for it's haunting themes and tracks like "My Dying Machine," "This Is New Love," and "Berserker."
